'Indiana Jones' New Movie News, Rumors: Actor Chris Pratt Tapped to Play Dr. Henry Walton?

Disney is rumored to be working on casting Chris Pratt in the next edition of the popular movie series from yesteryears, "Indiana Jones' film franchise, according to a report by Deadline.

Pratt, who is has starred in movies like Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy,' "The Lego Movie,' and is expected to star in "Jurassic World' and the comic book adaptation "Cowboy Ninja Viking,' seems to be the most popular choice for the next Dr. Henry Walton.

On a side note, Universal Pictures, is in talks with David Leitch and Chad Stahelski to co-direct its action picture "Cowboy Ninja Viking,' starring Pratt.

According to Variety Magazine, Pratt has already met with with Leitch and Stahelski and has given his stamp of approval. The movie, which is based on a graphic novel written by A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo, follows the story of a man A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo. However, rumors suggest that the offer has gone out.

Disney bought the distribution right for the "Indiana Jones' franchise from Paramount Pictures in 2013, right after it purchased Lucas Film, according to Variety. Disney also bought Marvel Entertainment in the year 2009 for $4 billion.

A representative of Pratt speaking to Huffington Post Entertainment said, "There is nothing to report regarding the rumor; requests made to Disney for comment have not been returned at this time."

Even Disney hasn't confirmed any of these rumors yet, which makes it too early to say anything for certain.

Reportedly, Pratt is also in talks with MGM to join Denzel Washinton in the upcoming movie, "The Magnificent Seven.' In other news, Pratt reportedly turned down the role of Nathan Drake in Sony's "Uncharted' adaptation.
