'Independence Day 2' Sequel Movie News: Judd Hirsch & Bill Pullman Confirmed to Return
Some great news regarding casting has been announced about the anticipated 'Independence Day 2' film.
While it was believed that most of the original cast from the first movie wouldn't be back to see out the sequel, it has now recently been confirmed that actors Bill Pullman, and Judd Hirsch will both be reprising their roles.
"Pullman is reprising his Independence Day role for the upcoming sequel, alongside Judd Hirsch, who played Julius Levinson, father to Jeff Goldblum's computer genius character David in the original. Roland Emmerich, who is returning to direct, announced the castings on Twitter Friday," writes THR.
These veterans will be joing newcomers, Liam Hemsworth as a currently undisclosed character, and Jessie Usher, as the son of Will Smith's old character. Smith is one of the only main characters that isn't believed to be back for this sequel.
'Independence Day 2' is slated to make its premiere June 24th, 2016.
