Iggy Azalea displayed her sense of humor upon hearing surprising rumors going around that she was really born as a man named Cody.

The Aussie rapper laughed off the rumors and addressed them through a few tweets fired off on Friday via her official Twitter account. She wondered why she was reading about herself being born a male, and named Cody at that.

"why Cody tho? Lol," Azalea tweeted. She followed that up with the words, "I just don't see myself as a Cody," and finally, "I'm more a Liam, if had a p*nis. Liam Azalea."

Azalea didn't stop there and poked fun at herself during the luncheon held on Friday for the 2014 Billboard Women in Music. She wrote, "Am I still gonna get my billboard women in music award tomorrow, now that I supposedly have a p*nis or nah?"

She even retweeted fans who were talking about her, as they joked that everything was fine so long as Azalea defined herself as a woman.

The rumors came about after a report from Huzler was published online claiming that Azalea admitted to an MTV reporter that she was born a man.

The story claimed that Azalea admitted to taking testosterone blockers, had her name changed and, at 18-years-old, underwent gender reassignment surgery to rid herself of her male parts. She reportedly had everything done before she started her music career.

MTV has replied to the rumors with a report of their own, calling Huzler's report "wacky" and saying, "because, um, we're MTV, and Iggy never said that to us."

This is not the first time Azalea stepped up to slam ridiculous rumors as the day prior to the Cody blowup, she addressed rumors claiming that friend Demi Lovato called a fan "fat," according to MTV.
