'Star Trek 3' New Cast News, Rumors: Idris Elba Tapped for Role as Klingon Villain?

News has been circulating on the Internet about a possible new cast member who may join the third franchise of the hit movie series 'Star Trek'. Rumor has it that Idris Elba might be taking on a villain role or possibly a Klingon one in the film which so many fans and news agencies are already anxious about.

Although the famous Hollywood actor has not responded to any of the rumors to either confirm or deny them, still several are pushing for the idea. However, some say that Elba is too good looking, according to reports, ans a Klingon role would require a lot of prosthetic make up.

Elba, known to be a very diverse actor taking in different roles even if he's coming from Great Britain can absolutely make good in any character he will play. However, it's not confirmed whether or not he will be part of the cast in the upcoming film which releases in 2016.

"You can never see enough Klingons, and I think in this film we've given the audience a little taste, but there's also a promise that there's a larger conflict on the horizon, and that would be fun to see," Damon Lindelof who is also the co-creator of 'Lost' reportedly said in his interview with HeyUGuys during the premiere of 'Star Trek 2'.

Meanwhile, when directly asked about the basis for the film's third franchise, Lindelof simply said "Draw your own conclusions, my friend. I confirm nothing and deny all," Lindelof reportedly said. Star Trek 3 is scheduled to be on the big screen this coming July 8, 2016 and will be directed by Justin Lin who's also famously known to be the director of 'Fast & Furious'.
