Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder, one of the most widely adored celebrity couples joined together in marriage. The two got married in Malibu, where they had a beautiful wedding on Sunday afternoon.

The ceremony had a whimsical feel to it. It took place in Topanga Canyon, and Nikki wore a sophisticated wedding gown with lace sleeves. Ian wore a handsome and elegant, all white suit.

Somerhalder made his excitement about tying the knot quite apparent when he shared a tweet on Twitter that kind of let the cat out of the bag. He tweeted, "Most beautiful morning ever."

After Ian's breakup with his Vampire Diaries co star, Nina Dobrev, which was heavily publicized, Ian, 36, was spotted with Nikki last July.

It was not long before the pair officially came out as a couple, and they were even seen at Comic Con, where they had a lot of public displays of affection. The couple got engaged in January.

Nikki, 26, is known for her roles in the Twilight Saga films. In images from their wedding, the couple can be seen sharing an embrace as they overlook the horizon.

Nikki's gown was a Clair Pettibone piece, a fishtail gown. Nikki made a statement about her romance in February.

She said, "What's actually, I think, nurture this friendship that we've had is that we are both passionate about similar things."

She made this statement, shortly before being presented with an award for her work with animals, by her then fiance. This is Somerhalder's first marriage and Reed's second.
