Ian Somerhalder, 36 years old, is starting to crave a little bit of privacy. On May 29^th, as the Vampire Diaries star was leaving a Paris hotel with his wife, Nikki Reed, he was greeted by a group of fans who were overjoyed to see him and asked him to take a few pictures with them.

He was not interested and did his best to explain to his fans that he did not want to pose for pictures at the time and was also not interested in being followed by fans for the remainder of the day.

Before they could even ask him, he began his speech, pleading, "No, no, no. Hey, listen. Just stop. Everybody, listen. I love you guys. I'm not taking a single photo today. It's my day. Don't follow us, please. I love you guys. You're so good to us. You're so awesome."

The newlywed actor was captured giving his lecture to his fans in a video that was posted to Twitter, which has now been deleted.

The fan who posted it, @VEGANSHADE20, or former fan, was quite upset about what Somerhalder hat to say, comparing him to Zac Efron, and using other insults against him.

After he spoke, one fan begged him for just one photograph, to which he refused. He tried to comfort the heartbroken fan, but still refused to take a picture.

Somerhalder was shocked, not expecting her to burst into tears, which she did, and he responded by walking away and asking the fans once more not to follow him, fleeing the scene with his wife.
