Apparently, things are getting serious for the budding new Hollywood couple, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder. The two reportedly went on holiday vacation in Sun Valley, Idaho with Reed's family recently, which sources have taken as another step forward in the couple's relationship.

It has been reported that Reed and Somerhalder were with Reed's family including her brother Nathan Reed. The couple shared their own special moments of the trip on their Instagram accounts. Somerhalder posted a cute snapshot of himself and Reed.

The two are depicted in the photo wearing their ski outfits with big smiles on their faces. Somerhalder captioned the photo: "No filter for this sunny Sun Valley day of awesomeness with my loves, the incredible @iamnikkireed and my brother @nathanaugustreed," Somerhalder wrote on Instagram. "The Happiest of holidays to everyone, may nothing but smiles, family time and reflection come from these moments," he added.

'The Vampire Diaries' star, Somerhalder also shared his thoughts on the past year and how grateful he is for his girlfriend and 'Twilight' star Nikki Reed. "I'm grateful for all of the love this years for me, us and ISF from everyone," Somerhalder continued in his post.

"May you empower all around you with the same strength and energy you have to spread positivity and compassion. Smiles are contagious-please spread them;) I'm grateful for and l love you all..."

Meanwhile, Reed posted a hilarious video of her and her family goofing around in the snow and posted the caption: "When families combine and hearts collide there's only one thing to do, the butt wiggle."

"My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain-I'm so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us," she added.

For those that are unfamiliar, Reed and Somerhalder have been dating for less than a year. Rumors sparked when the two were seen in several farmers' markets in Los Angeles and were also spotted kissing at the San Diego Comic Con.
