‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Cast News: Josh Hutcherson Spotted Shopping During Promotional Event [VIDEO]

While 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' continues to pull in ticket sales as one of the year's highest grossing films, fans of the franchise are wondering where the actors and actresses are now.

In that regard, actor Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark in ''The Hunger Games' films, was recently spotted at the Morro Bay Market and Spirits in Morro Bay, California.

When he arrived, the store manager said he had already recognized the star.

"I immediately recognized him," said Fred Akkari, "I'm a big fan of his movies."

His visit to the store was captured on camera, and can be seen here. When he approached the counter, Akkari asked if he was really Peeta Mellark in 'Hunger Games' and the actor did not deny it. Akkari also confirmed his identity when Hutcherson showed his credit card with his name on it.

However, the actor did not spend much on the store and reportedly bought some items that totaled to $14.94. Some of the items he bought included a SmartWater and some apples.

Akkari said he was glad of his encounter with Hutcherson, "He seemed like a really nice guy. He wasn't seeking attention, just being a normal guy who wanted to get in and out."

Hutcherson's visit in the area was not random at all as the entire crew were called out for a promotional event that happened at the Bay Theatre that same day.

Akkari said he has heard of movie stars visiting the stores in their area, but this was his first real encounter with one since he first started working in 2006.

Hutcherson appeared on all of the 'Hunger Games' franchise films. He was also a part of the Golden Globe Award-winning movie 'The Kids Are All Right' together with Julianne Moore and Annette Bening. He also has 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' and 'Bridge to Terabithia' to add to his resume.
