Huawei Talkband B2 Specs, Features, Price News: New Smart Watch Monitors Sleeping Patterns
The new Huawei Talkband B2 has been praised for its professional and classy design and fitness features at the recent Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.
The new Talkband is now made out of a new light aluminum design equipped with a 6-axis sensor that can monitor sleeping conditions and "provide consumers with health tips on ways to improve sleep pattern," reads Huawei's website.
It is almost like Sense, a kickstarter application for phones, which "uses technology so we can take back our sleep. Without imposing itself. Without intrusion." The big difference it presents here is that the 6-axis sensor is now sized smaller to fit into a wrist watch instead of a mobile device.
The Talkband B2 checks sleeping habits through the alarms that a user sets, detecting the whole duration of sleep. It does not only do that but also monitors movement when worn and calculates calories burned while running, walking, cycling and etc. It is even possible to do more outdoor activities with it as it is dust and water-resistant due to IP57 smart protection enclosure .
Other features of the Talkband B2 include a noise-reducing microphone for calls that is built into the watch and various convenient voice-commands. Huawei has matched it with their new sleek-designed Bluetooth earpiece that users can sync to the B2.
According to Huawei's website, "The minimalistic design of Huawei TalkBand B2 embraces simplicity." It is made out of environmentally friendly items such as the leather for the wrist or TPU material. It has a standard color of black, grey and gold and can sync to IOS or Android devices.
In terms of battery life, the Talkband B2 can last up to six hours under continuous call time and as much as 12 days when not used. The set retail price depends on the strapping. The premium version with leather strap is priced at 199 Euros and Standard TPU strap is at 169 Euros.
