Huawei P8max Specs & Price News: Huawei to Launch New Handset with 6.8-Inch Display for $610 on June 26

Chinese telecom multinational corporation Huawei unveiled its latest flagship smartphone P8max in April and the company recently announced the release date and price tag of the enormous handset.

Quoting reports originating in China, IB Times states that the Huawei P8max will come with a price tag of 3,788 yuan (about $610). The new handset will hit the stores on June 26.

According to Phone Arena, the Huawei P8max will feature an enormous 6.8-inch display, overprovided with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (HiSilicon Kirin 935) processor, clocking up to 2GHz, while the graphics will apparently be controlled by Mali-T628 MP4. In addition, the Huawei P8max will be supported by 3GB of RAM. In terms of software, GSM Arena reports that the device will run on Android v5.0.2 Lollipop right out of the box.

As far as the memory configuration of the device is concerned, the Huawei P8max is expected to come equipped with 64GB of built-in storage capacity. On the camera front, the handset will sport a 13 MP rear-facing primary shooter, besides an excellent 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. The entire configuration will be powered by a massive 4,360 mAh battery unit, which will ensure excellent battery life.

According to several reports, the Huawei P8max case reportedly bears resemblance to the case of HTC's Dot View. In addition, Huawei seems to have ensured that the incorporating a powerful and bigger battery does not affect the thickness of the device. Consequently, this device is slender, measuring 6.8 mm.

Although Huawei has confirmed that it will be launching the P8max on June 26, the company has not yet announced the device's release date outside of China yet.
