Huawei Nexus 6 Release News: Latest Leak Suggests Device to Come With Fingerprint Scanner
Since the last few months, the rumor mill is abuzz regarding Google's plans to launch two new smartphones this year. One of these, the Nexus 5 is said to be manufactured by LG Electronics, while Chinese tech giant Huawei has been entrusted with the task of making the second. Now, more details have been leaked regarding the latter device.
According to Christian Today, the leak pertaining to the Nexus 6 has originated from the credible tipster @Onleaks or Steve Hemmerstoffer of Nowhereelse.fr. While the details coming from @Onleaks are in no way official, the sources quoted by this Twitter user are anonymous. Hence, Gotta Be Mobile points out that there is a chance that the information may not turn out to be correct.
Having said this, the purported specs of the Huawei manufactured Nexus 6 include an octa-core Snapdragon 810 or may be even an 820 processor, which will be bundled together with 4 GB of RAM.
Speculations are rife that the internal storage of the Nexus 6 either be 32 GB or 64 GB, subject to the model. In addition, the upcoming device is expected to come with a 5.7-inch quad-HD display.
As far as the camera section is concerned, the Nexus 6 is likely to come with a 21-megapixel rear shooter. The leak, however, did not detail the precise quality of the device's front-facing camera.
According iDigital Times Australia, the Nexus 6 will also purportedly have a built-in fingerprint sensor - something similar to the one found on Huawei's very own Mate series.
The leaks further reveals that the Nexus 6 may possibly run on Google's latest mobile operating system, the Android Marshmallow OS or what is likely be otherwise known as either version 5.2 or 6.0, subject to the one the search engine giant chooses.
Even after the revelations made by the latest leak, Google continues to remain silent regarding its upcoming smartphones, denoting that there is nothing official as of now.
