Huawei is set to unveil its new flagship device next month.

Huawei's new phablet, Huawei Mate 9, will be unveiled at an event in Munich on November 3. While the price details of this device are still unknown, there are speculations that it won't be long before it finally hits the shelves.

There were previous reports claiming that the phablet will be released on November 8. However, there remains a question mark over its global availability since the Long Island model is reportedly going to be exclusively sold in China.

As for its specs, reports claim that Huawei Mate 9 will feature a design that resembles that of the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the now defunct Galaxy Note 7. There are speculations that the device will come in two different styles, where one has a curved screen while the other has a more traditional phone design. The two designs have their own internal codenames today: Manhattan and Long Island.

The Long Island has a QHD resolution and contains up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. According to reports, both models will feature a 5.9 inch screen and will be powered by an octa-core Hi-silicon Kirin 960 chip, although that remains to be seen.

One of the most talked about features of this phablet is its Leica-brand dual rear camera, which will employ one color and one monochrome sensor. There are also speculations that its dual 20MP snappers will come with a front-facing 8MP of selfie camera.

Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be the first Huawei device to run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
