Huawei Mate 8 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Coming to US Markets in 2016

The high-end Huawei Mate 8 and the more affordable Huawei Honor 5x will soon be introduced in the United States, with a release date posted for 2016. The high-end Huawei Mate 8 is powered by Androd 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a large 6-inch screen display with a resolution of 1080p.

In terms of U.S. market share, Huawei is currently not a major player but it is striving to break through the market barrier.

The most dominant smartphone brands in the U.S. are currently Apple, LG, Motorola, Samsung and ZTE. China's Huawei however, is putting real effort trying to break into the U.S. market.

It may seem ironic that that Huawei is the third largest manufacturer of smartphones on a global scale, just behind Apple and Samsung.

The company's difficulties entering the U.S. is believed to be due to security issues surrounding its telecom networking equipment. As a result, the U.S. government has banned Huawei's telecom network.

In its effort to get a share of the U.S. market, Huawei is trying to distribute its smartphone and other similar consumer gadgets in the U.S. market. The company's strategy to get a portion of the market is to partner with Google.

Huawei has already closed a deal with the tech giant and is now the manufacturer of Google's flagship smartphone, Google Nexus 6P.

By becoming the manufacturer of the Nexus 6P, Huawei has started to gain more credibility in the U.S., and has started to establish its own name.
