Huawei Honor 8 Release Date, Specs & Price: Pre-Order Now Available In The US
The release date for the Huawei Honor 8 will supposedly be next month but pre-orders have already been opened in the company's website last Aug. 17. The pre-order registration period will run until Sept. 3, the news said.
The device will be available in the US for $399.99 for the base 32 GB model and $449.99 for the 64 GB variant.
According to the CNET, the Huwaei Honor 8 is basically a Huawei P9, albeit with a little tweaks to justify the price. For example, the dual camera in the P9 is also present in the new phone, however, the lens are not Leica. The design is also reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Also, some reports have surfaced about the Huawei Honor 8's camera not doing too well at night. Nevertheless, it's a budget flagship and if you are going to limit your expectation within that fact, the phone manages to surpass its objectives.
As the specs of the Huawei Honor 8, it's going to have a full HD 5.2-inch screen. Powered by HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core chip, it will also feature a 4 GB of RAM and 32GB or 64 GB internal storage with expandable microSD of up to 256 GB.
The camera (12-MP for the main and 8-MP for the front) as well as the battery (3000 mAh) are nothing to crow about, but they are the standard for their range. But there's supposedly a 3D fingerprint scanner as well as IR support.
The Huawei Honor 8 is run by the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, the news said.
