Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has released a new video online recently showcasing its upcoming Huawei Honor 7 smartphone. Interestingly enough, the new teaser does not offer any details regarding the smartphone, excepting its design.

According to Christian Today, the video teaser comes in the wake of the Chinese company releasing its new Huawei P8 lite smartphone device in the U.S. recently, with a view to expand its market in the U.S.

Huawei claimed that the P8 lite smartphone is a premium device, costing only $249.99. The device is now available in the U.S. through the company's official online store as well as Amazon.

In addition to the design, the company released a image of the upcoming Honor 7, which reveals that the new handset will be unveiled on June 30. Earlier, there were rumors suggesting that the upcoming Huawei Honor 7 smartphone would be released sometime before 2015 third quarter.

According to a report in GSM Arena, the new device will initially be launched only for the Chinese market. This is evident from the fact that all communication regarding the phone's launch is only in Mandarin.

The new image also includes invitations to the launch event and confirms earlier rumors that the Honor 7 handset will incorporate the fingerprint scanner technology.

The other expected specs of the Huawei Honor 7 include a 5-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1080x1920 resolution. In addition, it is expected that the new handset will run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, and be powered by the company's home-made HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor.

The Huawei Honor 7 smartphone will come in two variants. While one model will offer users 3 GB and 16 GB of internal memory space, the second version will offer 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The device will feature a 13 megapixel rear camera and be powered by an impressive, non-removable 3280 mAh battery unit.

Earlier reports suggested that the Huawei Honor 7 will be available in three color options - white, black, and gold and will come in a metal encasing.
