HTC One M9 Specs Rumors: Leaked Photos Reveal Controversial New Feature

HTC has been working hard to get a larger share of the mobile market and it hopes its newest feature will turn the tables in its favor. In a pair of leaked photos, the M9, HTC's latest phone, is revealed to feature a gigantic rear camera.

The next-generation device was not supposed to be announced until March 1st, but the metal mobile has been making great waves with its unique design.

Unlike earlier models, the new camera takes up a decidedly unsubtle amount of space in the upper center. Not much else is visible about the back of the camera, though. Because the grainy image is cropped and at an odd angle, it's hard to determine anything for certain.

The front of the device is hasn't changed at all. Like the One (M8), this updated design reveals a sleek screen and a black logo bar. As far as anyone can see, it is not the front that has the focus but the camera at the back.

According to Bloomberg, HTC has kept its popular design unchanged for a good reason. The phone company wants to implement major improvements to the M9 hardware, and possibly connect it to its first smartwatch. The M9 will "sport an improved 20-megapixel camera, an UltraPixel front-facing shooter, a Snapdragon 810 processor and Dolby audio."

"It's also expected to run Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company's own Sense 7 UI pre-installed," Tech Buffalo reported.

These photos may not be the final, official design of the mysterious M9, but they certainly got the gossip rags buzzing! Not to worry, HTC fans. We will get our official look at the new phone when they present it officially in March.
