HTC One M9 Specs, Hardware Rumors: Qualcomm Hints at Snapdragon 810 SoC via Vine Video
Semiconductor company giant Qualcomm hinted that the HTC One M9 will be getting a major overhaul in hardware and software. On the company's official Vine feed, Qualcomm hinted that the new phone by HTC will have a Snapdragon 810 SoC.
The vine teased a phone silhouette, displaying three times on a clock: 8:10, 10:08 and 10:09. The first time readout is an obvious hint towards the Snapdragon 810 processor. According to other announcements from the company, Qualcomm has said in the past that they would debut the processor with a phone at the MWC this year.
The second time readout, 10:08, is a tribute to HTC as they use that time for all of their phone renderings in past years. The 10:09 time stamp suggests that the phone to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 will be the HTC One M9.
The Snapdragon 810 is said to be one of the most advanced processors to date. According to Qualcomm, the chip allows streaming 4K Ultra HD video, sharing top-quality digital photos, online 3D gaming, longer battery life, and exceptional communication services.
Qualcomm's vine isn't the only one to leak teasers and spoilers for HTC. In the past weeks, three videos and several image renderings of the new phone have been shown early. Since then, the images and videos have been taken down from their original sources, but fans of the phone company have still found a way to indulge their curiosity through other various sources.
The videos and images suggest that the new HTC One M9 will have an option for a two-tone metal finish, advanced screen personalization, the HTC Sense Home Widget, BlinkFeed, UltraPixel Front Camera, a 20 MP main camera with a new editing program, BoomSound with Dolby Audio, and Connect which allows a three-finger swipe to access to streamed videos or music.
