HTC One M9 Specs, Features Rumors: Quad HD Screen, 16 MP Rear Camera, & More
HTC is set to release a super-sized flagship smartphone with the One M9, which will come with a large 5.5 inch screen and a powerful 3500 mAh battery, Digital Trends reports.
Sources are saying that HTC is coming out with its latest offering, the One M9, which will feature 3GB RAM and Quad HD 2560 x 1440 screen. It will also come with either a Snapdragon 805 processor or Snapdragon 810 and will be encased in aluminum silicon carbide composite.
On that note, HTC has moved on from Beats Music after Apple took over the company. They partnered with BoomSound and Harman Kardon several times, but now they are looking to Bose to provide the speakers for the One M9.
There are also reports that the One M9 will come with Google's latest operating system, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to NDTV.
However, there is no news in regards to the front camera, but the One M9 will reportedly have a 16 megapixel rear camera that has optical image stabilization. This means HTC might break away from their UltraPixel tech, which was available in the older versions of HTC's One, specifically One M7 and One M8.
There is a chance HTC will release the One M9 with a more affordable price tag, according to Android Headlines. Their One M7 and One M8 did not perform as expected in the market, but HTC looks to be able to compete with rival Chinese manufacturers Xiaomi and Meizu, with the One M9.
Rumors about the specifications for HTC's One M9 first came out from reports made on Chinese website My Drivers, but HTC has yet to confirm or deny them.
No definite reports have confirmed HTC's One M9 release date, but rumors are claiming that the phone will be formally introduced in Barcelona in March 3 to 5 2015 at the Mobile World Congress, according to NDTV.
