HTC One M9 Release Date, Specs Rumors: MWC 2015 Launch Confirmed, Features Leaked

A lot of excitement surrounds this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. One of the most anticipated releases will be HTC's One M9. Images of the new smartphone leaked all over the web last weekend, and a lot of fans are dying to see these new phones in person.

Mobile Geeks found the rendered images, revealing a lot of confirmation about speculations regarding the phone's design. Many say that the design hasn't strayed far from the previous model, the M8, but it does look a little more on the fancy side. The images show that buyers have a few options when it comes to colors. There is a gold and silver look, gunmetal gray, and a gold-on-gold look from which users can choose from.

Since the leak, the images have been pulled down, but it has not stopped people from talking about them. According to the images, the phones will still have HTC's signature BoomSound speakers and the power and volume buttons, which have been moved to the side. This change has been adapted by many smartphone companies. Overall, the images appear to say that the full design hasn't strayed far from the original HTC One.

According to The Verge, other features to be included on the HTC One M9 are a 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage plus microSD expansion. All of these new features will be powered by the Android Lollipop 5.0. Mobile Geeks leaked the estimated price of the phone in Germany, which is 749 euros, or $850.

The full launch of the HTC One M9 will happen on March 1.
