HTC One M9 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Device Features Fingerprint Scanner?

Latest leaks regarding HTC One M9 have offered fans some idea of what they can expect from the upcoming flagship device of the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer. While it could not be ascertained whether the recent product photos of the HTC device shared by @evleaks are genuine or phony, one thing seems to be certain - the release rate of the One M8 successor seems to be coming closer.

Christian Today reports that the product photo leaks actually show two HTC One M9 variants, which have different sizes. Both variants of the upcoming HTC flagship smartphone come in an all-glass panel, with revamped speakers mounted at the base close to their edge. The photos also show a large camera.
According to Engadget, the camera may possibly be an ultrapixel shooter. On the other hand, Christian Post suggested that it may be similar to the one that is seen in the Desire Eye's 13-megapixel camera. In the photos, the two variants of One M9 appear somewhat classy, as the bezels have been made ultra thin.

Apart from their size, the home button of the two variants is different. The home button of the larger HTC One M9 variant is embedded at the base of its large screen and Christian Post claims that this model is also likely to come with a fingerprint scanner. However, the website says that the photos shared by @evleaks are somewhat different from the earlier leaks regarding the HTC One M9. At the same time, the website reiterated rumors that suggest HTC itself is planting camouflages to confuse other leaksters from sharing the real one.

All the same, none seem to be saying that the photos shared by @evleaks are completely bogus, because the website had earlier made accurate predictions about the HTC One M7 and One M8.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena reported that HTC intends to offer DotView color variants of the HTC One M9 and @upleaks claimed that the smartphones will come out in turquoise and yellow versions, in addition to the existing blue, orange, dark red and black options.

It is believed that the HTC One M9 will be unveiled at the ensuing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from March 2-5, 2015 alongside its variants.
