HTC One M9 Plus Leaked Specs, Rumors: New Fingerprint Scanner Added to Next Flagship Phone Model?

Shortly after the release of the HTC One M9, new images of the next model, the HTC One M9 Plus have surfaced online. The leaked images online suggest that the device will be similar to HTC One M9 but with added specifications and features.

HTC, recently unveiled a range of products at the Mobile World Congress, along with the HTC One M9. The device has a metal body with a a gold and silver finish and a a 20-megapixel rear camera. Other features include, a 5-inch screen with sapphire glass, Qualcomm high-end processor and 5.1 surround sound through the front speakers, according to CNET.

The new device, which has yet to be announced by HTC, is expected will sport more than the features mentioned above. According to GSM Arena, the handset will have, in addition to all the features on M9, two versions of the chipsets. One with a a MediaTek MT6795 model and another one with a Snapdragon 810.

The other specifications of the device include, 5.2" screen with a 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable memory and the biggest addition being the fingerprint scanner.

The fingerprint scanner will comprise of a biometric sensor, which will allow the detection of fingerprint and use it is a means of locking the phone.

HTC, in the recent years came up with HTC Sense 7, HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 along with HTC One M9, which were well received by the users.

Apart from handsets, HTC also released its very first smart wearable, the HTC Grip. The device is a GPS-enabled fitness tracker that is powered by Under Armour's Record app.
