HTC One M8s Release Date & Specs Rumors: Flagship Smartphone Variant Packs 13MP Rear & 5MP Front Cameras

HTC has released a new version of their One M8 phone, which is called HTC One M8s. The phone is not very different from the popular original smart phone, but does have a few new additions.

The new device will be available in certain parts of Europe, beginning in April and will be sold at £379.99. At this point there has not been any information released by the company about when it will be available in other countries.

The M8s looks a lot like the M8 when it comes to design and aesthetic, but it is 0.2 millimeters thinner.

Besides their designs, the specifications of the two phones contrast in many ways. For instance, he M8 has a 5-inch full HD display, which is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

This phone's processor is a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core, and features 2 gigabytes of RAM as well. The device's internal memory is 16 gigabytes and of course, a microSD card can be used to expand this capacity.

The M8 had a four ultra pixel duo camera, but the M8s has a thirteen megapixel rear camera and a five megapixel front facing camera. As far as software, the device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and the HTC Sense UI 6.

The dimensions of the phone are 146.36 X 70.6 X 9.55mm and the weight is 160 gm. The handset provides great connectivity for its users, where the device includes Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/GNSS, NFC and 4G LTE. The battery of the device is an upgrade from its sibling M8 One and is powered with 2,840 mAh.
