HTC One M8 Update News: Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Made Available for Device Users

After the long wait and after being frustrated with not getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, HTC One M8 users, have good news coming their way as the new software update is said to be available starting, April 7, 2015.

HTC's Mo Versi recently posted on his Twitter announcing the good news. "AT&T HTC One (M8) Owners! We just received technical approval for Lollipop OS! Thank you for all your patience, OTA to start tomorrow," Versi wrote on the 6th.

Previously, the update had been available for other owners back in January, and since then, AT&T HTC One (M8) owners have been anxious as to when they will be able to get the update on their gadgets as the updates are already available for Sprint and T-Mobile in Canada.

In October, when Google announced that Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will receive the update, HTC then also promised that owners would get it as well in 90 days however the company wasn't able to comply to the deadline as it missed a lot of areas including the United States although some have already received the update.

As owners await for the air update for the Android 5.0 Lollipop, users can update their gadgets manually according to some reports although there isn't any instructional posts on how to do it yet. Upon downloading the update which has a total 550MB storage via WiFi, users can fully enjoy the features that go with it.

Features include an improved UI design which includes bold colors, animations that run smoothly as well as some visual effects. There are also improvements on the calendar the multitasking menu for apps, on the notification pulldown bar, and others that are surely pleasurable for the users.
