HTC M9+ Specs & Release Date: New Device Heading to Europe Sans U.K.

The latest and improved HTC One M9+ will soon be launched in Europe, except for in the U.K.

According to Christian Today, when the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer launched its flagship handset, One M9, several fans felt let down, as the device was just a minor upgrade from its predecessor, the HTC One M8. As the company did not upgrade some of the features of the previous version of the HTC One M, many fans decided to wait for a more time to purchase a further upgraded version of the flagship model.

Concerned over the fans' disapproval, HTC lost no time to go for a fully upgraded M9 lineup, as a result of which the "plus" version came into existence. The HTC One M9+ is very different from its mother versions. The new handset, the M9+, sports a larger 5.2-inch display along with a more vivid as well as detail-oriented 2K screen resolution. Moreover, the new M9 version also comes with an upgrade under the hood, since the device now features an improved, octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor.

When it was launched, One M9+ was only available in China, but now the Taiwanese multinational smartphone manufacturer is planning a global release of the device. Meanwhile, it was already released in Taiwan and India earlier this year.

Of late, HTC has announced that the HTC One M9+ will be released in Europe, but the company is yet to provide final details relating to its release in Europe. According to available information, the planned global release of the smartphone will be coordinated with different mobile carriers, and the precise release dates will be different for each country.

However, there is some bad news, according to TechRadar, HTC fans in the U.K. will not received the upgraded HTC One M9+.

Apart from the upgraded display and chipset, the new One M9+ also features a 20-megapixel Duo camera with 4K-video recording options, a 3 GB RAM, in addition to a fingerprint scanner for better security.
