HP Tablets 2015: Company Launches New Android Devices & Duet Pen Stylus
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has expanded its smartphone offerings by adding six new tablet smartphones - HP Pro Slate 8, HP ElitePad Rugged, HP Pro Slate 12, ElitePad Healthcare, Elite X2 1011 and Revolve 810 G3.
IB Times reports that Qualcomm Snapdragon processors power all these tablet devices and come with diagonal displays. Both the HP Pro Slate and HP Pro Slate 12 are powered by a 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC. While the former comes with an 8-inch display, the latter boasts a 12-inch screen size.
On the other hand, the other four tablets - the HP ElitePad Rugged, ElitePad Healthcare, Elite X2 1011 and Revolve 810 G3 - are powered by an built-in Qualcomm Gobi 4G LTE technology.
The Pro Slate tablets are basically HD commercial-grade Android tablets that are packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon powered stylus coined HP Duet Pen and support a 4:3 aspect ratio enabling easily viewing of business documents as well as accessing business applications.
In fact, both the HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12 have been designed keeping in mind the business productivity. They sport an assortment of accessories run by HP's own Zero Force connector. Interestingly enough, the HP Pro Slate 8 is among the first tablets in the market to use Corning Gorilla Glass 4 - the toughest cover glass from Corning thus far.
Both the HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12 come with the HP Duet Pen, which is the first device to make use of Qualcomm Snapdragon digital pen technology on a tablet as well as regular paper.
