'How to Train Your Dragon 3' Release Date, Cast News: Film Features Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Kristen Wiig

The third and the final edition of "How to Train Your Dragon' is set to hit the theaters in 2018, featuring the voices of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Kristen Wiig, and T.J. Miller.

The writer and director of the movie, Dean DeBlois, speaking about the making of the movie said that he's in the early stages of making "How to Train Your Dragon 3,' according to USA Today.

He added, "It's a story of the maturation of each character, completing Hiccup's coming of age, so he becomes a character who can stand on his own. Always the ambition was to get where Cressida Cowell, who's the author of the book, was planning to go, which is the eventual disappearance of dragons and the mystery of what happened to them. It has to end in an emotionally satisfying way... The ambition is to get to where the opening lines of Cressida's first book, which is Hiccup as an adult, reflecting back on a time when there were dragons," according to the news report.

The first movie saw the character of Hiccup befriending a dragon Nightfury whom he names Toothless. The next movie takes us to the village, five years later. This movie introduces to us two main characters, the villain Drago and his dragon "Bewilderbeast,' and Hiccup's mother Valka and her dragon.

Cate Blanchett, who gave voice over for the character of Valka, seemed pretty excited for the next edition of the movie. She said, "I am really excited. I don't know what it's going to be, but Dean has such an extraordinary imagination. And he directed in such a detailed, engaged way - he holds a firm grip on the universe," according to Variety.
