The upcoming season of "How to Get Away with Murder" promises more twists and turns and a big shocker.

Contrary to what most fans might expect, the biggest shocker next season will involve not a murder but a resurrection.

After speculations that she was already killed by Bonnie in the first season, season 3 will see the return of Rebecca. Speculations about her return came out after actress Katiw Findlay was seen attending a read-through for one of the episodes in the upcoming season. In a photo uploaded by series star Viola Davis on her Facebook page, the actress was shown smiling with the other members of the "How to Get Away with Murder" cast.

While it was revealed that the season 3 promo was just a throwback by Davis, the actress revealed in an interview with Deadline that the mystery surrounding the upcoming season is so big that it even had the cast totally perplexed.

During the Television Critics Association press tour, executive producer Pete Nowalk shared some details about the show's next big twist.

"There's going to be a new mystery and you're not going to have to wait long to find out what that is," he said.

"The first domino was Lila getting killed, so it all stems from there. A leads to B leads to C, and I think we're probably at D at this point and it's going to be the biggest one yet," he added.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 premieres on Sept. 22, 10:00 p.m. on ABC.
