Fans of 'How to Get Away with Murder' are eager to know what is in store for their favorite characters in the upcoming Season 2 of the ABC crime television drama returns of its second season this fall.

According to a report in IB Times, in Season 1, fans saw Bonnie Winterbottom's (Liza Weil) attitude changed drastically when she understands that Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) trusts her no longer and she concentrates of building her career independently.

In fact, when the charismatic defence attorney took a hiatus from her professional life owing to various personal calamities, including the death of her husband Professor Sam Keating (Tom Verica); her accomplice did her best to establish her capability to be on her own.

In addition, secret conversations between Keating and Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) also produced a negative impact on Winterbottom, who has nearly lost interest in the job and was more eager to spend time with Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry).

Therefore, 'How to Get Away with Murder' fans are keen to know whether or not the two associates are involved in the murder of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay). Results of a recent poll undertaken by IB Times showed 38 percent viewers believe that Winterboon killed the drug dealer, while 37 percent are of the view that Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) is responsible for the crime.

However, fans will need to have patience and wait until September to know the answers, as show creator Pete Nowalk has not revealed any details regarding these two characters. All he said is that the series will feature three main plot lines when it returns with Season 2.

As of now, it is known that major part of the episodes will deal with Rebecca Sutter's death, while the show will also concentrate on the relationship between Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee) and Oliver Hampton (Conrad Ricamora). It will also address the reason behind the murder of Lila Stangard (Megan West).

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nowalk shared that 'How to Get Away with Murder' fans will find out more about the relationship between Frank and Sam in the upcoming season. "That is a very big favor, and we would be mistaken not to answer that question for the audience," he said.

'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 will premiere at 10:00 pm ET on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 on ABC.
