'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 Spoilers: Kendrick Sampson Joins Cast, Rebecca’s Murderer Revealed
'How to Get Away with Murder' fans will see a new character being introduced in the Season 2 premiere of Shonda Rhimes' show on ABC when it returns on Sept. 24.
Christian Today reports that Kendrick Sampson, who is popular for portraying the character of Jesse, a human-turned-vampire in 'The Vampire Diaries,' has been recently signed up to play a recurring role in the critically acclaimed mystery legal drama. According to Deadline, Sampson's character will appear for the first time in 'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 opening episode. All said and done, ABC continues to remain silent on the precise role that the newcomer will play.
In the meantime, a report in Entertainment Weekly claimed that the mystery surrounding the death of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay), which shocked viewers during the Season 1 finale, may possibly be solved sooner than expected.
Throughout 'How to Get Way with Murder' Season 1, viewers have been guessing about the actual killer of Lila Stangard (Megan West). While four students of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) were covering the evidences of their crime, they accidentally killed Sam (Tom Verica), Annalise's husband and Lila's lover, while protecting Rebecca.
In the show's Season's 1 finale, Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), Rebecca's boyfriend as well as an intern of Annalise discovered the series of lies that Rebecca told them regarding the night when Lila was murdered. Gibbins decided to bring Rebecca to their professor's house so that he as well as his co-interns could compel her to tell the truth and to corroborate if she was worthy of destroying his future and his co-interns when they decided to protect her from Sam's attack.
However, in the end, the viewers found out that neither Rebecca nor Sam killed Lila, but Sam ordered Annalise's trusted staff Frank (Charlie Weber) to do the dirty work for him.
While the viewers eventually learned the truth about Lila's death, another murder mystery started when Annalise and Frank found Rebecca lifeless in the Keatings' basement. However, different from Lila's case, Entertainment Weekly posted an exclusive report claiming that Rebecca's murder will be unveiled during the opening episode of 'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2.
'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 will premiere at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 24, on ABC.
