'Destiny' New DLC Release Date News: 'House of Wolves' Expansion Releases May 19
The soon to be released downloadable content expansion pack for Destiny, called House of Wolves, will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on May 19.
This release comes four months after the first expansion of the game, titled The Dark Below.
The game's publisher, Activision, confirmed the release date of the game on Monday, in a new release. The company also released a video on YouTube, which will be live at 1:00 pm EDT.
Destiny was released for the four mentioned game consoles on September 9th last year, and in the the first half of the month of February, a fan of the game claimed to have discovered some details about House of Wolves.
The player, megamanexe64, posted the information that he found on Reddit, which included details of new weapons, new gear, a light level cap raise and even an alleged released date, which did say that the downloadable content would not be available for players until May.
Game developer, Bungie, warned players that none of these details were confirmed, although it turns out that megamanexe64 was right about the release date.
The user also said that he had found dozens of pieces of Vanguard and Crucible armor to be used in the Warlock, Hunger and titan classes, and discovered new guns and rocket launchers. He even included screen shots of the new features.
After the information was leaked, David Dague, the Bungie community manager, said that the developer had not yet revealed anything about the game, adding, "That means that anything you know about it can change."
The game costs $19.99, and can be bought for $34.99 with the first expansion back, including The Dark Below.
