‘House of Cards’ Season 5 Release Date, Premiere, Spoilers: Frank and Claire Underwood Will Remain In Power?
Political drama series "House of Cards" season 4 has just started but fans are already calling out for a fifth season. That is why when Netflix made the announcement that it has been renewed for another season, fans could not help but jump for joy.
Despite the good news, however, speculations about the fifth season being the show's final season continue to make the rounds online.
Based on a UK novel of the same name, "House of Cards" series is already approaching the end of the original storyline.
Rumors about the final season are also due to the decision of Netflix regarding its other titles. For instance, many question why "Orange is the New Black" has been renewed for four additional seasons while "House of Cards" has been renewed for only one season.
In addition to that, viewers of the show believe that Beau Willimon's exit from the show spells the end for the series. Willimon has been one of the showrunners of the series for the longest time.
Netflix has not yet revealed the official date of release of "House of Cards" season 5 but many presume that it will come sometime in March 2017, considering the production and release patterns of the previous seasons.
It is highly possible for Netflix to announce an entirely different premiere date by the end of 2016 or early 2017.
Meanwhile, an article by Christian Today reports that "House of Cards" season 5 will follow Frank Underwood, his wife Claire and their political allies putting out all the stops as they seek to remain in power.
