'House Of Cards' Season 5 News: Spinoff Series Rumored After Season 5
While "House of Cards" season 5 has been confirmed to be the show's last, fans may still expect a possible spinoff following the season finale.
"House of Cards" executive producer Michael Dobbs recently revealed that they are already in talks about the events that will happen in the upcoming season.
Asked about how they will conclude the series, he said, "That is a very interesting question and one that we are putting our minds to actively, because every show comes to a natural end."
The executive producer also hinted that the series may end the way other series like "Breaking Bad" and "24" ended.
Despite the sad news, there are reports that a spinoff of the series will be released after the season 5 finale. According to Dobbs, a spinoff may be released so that "House of Cards" may continue its legacy even after its final season.
"House of Cards" season 5 is set to premiere in 2017. While there are several possibilities for the upcoming season, all of them point to Frank's loss in his presidential bid, and he will lose it to his wife Claire.
Season 5 is also expected to show how Claire drastically changes from being the biggest lover and supporter of Frank Underwood to his biggest enemy and rival. All spoilers for season 5 boil down to the fact that things will get personal between the two Underwoods.
Some spoilers even suggest that Claire may assassinate her husband in season 5 so she can take over the US presidency, although that remains to be seen.
