'House of Cards' Season 3 Release Date News: Netflix New Trailer Arrives - Kevin Spacey Takes Golden Globe [VIDEO]

Netflix has released a new official trailer for 'House of Cards', a political drama television series, which is set to return to the small screen on Feb. 27. Incidentally, the trailer was released just before Kevin Spacey won the Golden Globe in the Lead Actor in a Television Drama Series category on Sunday night.

According to IBTimes, the video clip begins by showing Francis Underwood and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) in their latest positions - the President of the United States and the First Lady of the country.

In the recently released 45-second trailer, viewers can see Francis saying "You want to know what takes real courage? (It's) holding it all together when the stakes are this high." At the end of the video ends with Claire telling Francis, "We are murderers," to which he adds, "We are survivors."

In fact, the trailer offers some hints that tensions exist between the President and first lady.

Talking about the upcoming season, Spacey told the media backstage at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, "I can tell you exclusively that there will be scenes and dialogue, movement, surprises -- some of it taking place in the White House -- some of it taking place somewhere else. There are shocks surprises, holes and turns. Yes, you got it from me here."

It is worth mentioning here that the 55-year-old veteran actor has received eight nominations for the Golden Globes so far. Earlier, he received two nominations for his role in 'House of Cards', but this was his first win.

In his acceptance speech, the actor said, "This is just the beginning of my revenge," in reference to his character.

Expressing his gratitude to the network, Spacey said, "I want to thanks Netflix for their incredible support of this series," adding, "I have an extraordinary time coming to work every day."
