'House of Cards' Season 3 Episode Synopsis Leaks, News: Spoilers For Each New Episode

Surely fans of House of Cards know that the series is scheduled to premiere its 3rd season, on February 27th. However, many fans were shocked when the hit Netflix drama leaked its next season earlier than announced.

They came back later and stated it was an error, but a few fans were greeted with the show two weeks ahead of schedule.

One of the shows that popularized the binge-watching phenomenon sent fans into a frenzied thirty minutes on Wednesday late afternoon.

The leak occurred around 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Some publicity professionals are calling the leak a media ploy or part of a publicity campaign. Whatever the reason, it was short-lived.

As soon as the news hit social media, Netflix removed the prematurely released series' episodes and released an update on Twitter regarding the incident.

The House of Cards tweet, "Due to a technical glitch some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peak," said a Netflix rep in a statement to PEOPLE. "He'll be back on Netflix on Feb 27. #nospoilers," reminded fans that the show would soon be available in 2 short weeks.

According to another tweet from the House of Cards twitter account, "This is Washington...there's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27."

The Verge was able to get a synopsis list of the leaked episodes:

  •  Chapter 27: A rocky start for the Underwood presidency. Frank wants to introduce an ambitious jobs program while Claire sets her sights on the United Nations.
  •  Chapter 28: Claire's U.N. bid runs into trouble. Frank fights off a mutiny with a bold address to the country.
  •  Chapter 29: The Russian president's state visit becomes a cold war of wills, and some punks heat things up.
  •  Chapter 30: Claire bypasses Russia at the U.N. Frank tries to outmaneuver a potential challenger and ends up face to face with a higher power.
  •  Chapter 31: Frank declares war on Congress to jump-start his jobs program. Claire spars with the Russian Ambassador.
  •  Chapter 32: Frank and Claire travel to Moscow to negotiate the return of an imprisoned U.S. citizen. Claire takes a stand that jeopardizes their plans.
  •  Chapter 33: The damage is done, and the Underwoods must repair it. But deep wounds don't heal fast, and sometimes not at all.
  •  Chapter 34: A hurricane endangers more than just the entire East Coast, and Frank must make a difficult choice.
  •  Chapter 35: The Jordan Valley erupts into chaos just as Frank's campaign is picking up steam. Claire gets disturbing intel and counsels him.
