'House of Cards' Season 3 Release Date, News: Fans Gear Up for Premiere with New Trailer

The Netflix series 'House of Cards' is moving into its third season, which will be a great follow-up to season two, according to the recently released trailer. On that note, fans are counting down the days until the premiere at the end of February.

With an action-packed second season, the show's third season promises to pick up where it left off. Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey) and the other characters seem to be in a dreary predicament, as the trailer suggests. All that is clear right now is that Frank and Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright) will have to keep fighting to remain top dogs.

The Netflix trailer for the drama, which deals with complex characters in a political setting, showed that Frank Underwood and his wife will need to scramble to stay one step ahead of the game as the other characters try to gain political power. As with the previous two seasons, 'House of Cards' Season 3 looks as if it will involve just as much tense relations, dastardly deeds, and manipulation.

'House of Cards' won a Golden Globe award on January 11th for Kevin Spacey's acting chops. He took home the award for Best Actor in a Television Drama. Last year, Robin Wright received a Golden Globe for her work in the show, taking home the prize for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series. On that note, it was the first Golden Globe for the series.

The third season of 'House of Cards' will premiere on Netflix on February 27th, and will include 13 episodes. For those who need to play catch-up or simply want to do some binge-watching, Netflix has seasons one and two available online now.
