FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Hopeful., alternative rock's newest band, has released another anthem of hope with their new single "Wild One." Available today (October 4) on all streaming platforms, the song was co-written by lead vocalist Randy James, lead guitarist Hunter Jackson, and co-front man of the independent Christian band Lovelite, Andrew Polfer. "Wild One" is a timely reminder to live in the present and let go of the weight of the past.

"So much of our lives are missed out on because we're worried about what we don't have or didn't accomplish, or what's going to happen next or what could get taken away from us," Randy said. "But Jesus said it really well in Matthew 6:34: 'Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.'"

The song opens with muffled, vintage vocals before declaring, "You know it's time to leave the past behind," and clearing the way for a raw alt-rock anthem that provides listeners with the promise that God will never let them go.

"God works more freely when we're open-handed," Randy said. "When we hold on to the things of the past, we're limiting the capacity God's given us to take on new things. But when we let go of the past, there's more room for what He has for us."

Randy recognizes that letting go of the past isn't always easy. But music can be an outlet to find healing.

"We've all gone through different levels of hurt, and some of us require extra therapy for it. There's no shame in that," Randy said. "But songs like these are good reminders that you can let go. Music is a powerful tool to communicate to the soul in a way you can't with words."

Featuring Carly Ann Taylor on backing vocals, "Wild One" closes with an emotional declaration to move forward in freedom, "I won’t let it, I won’t let it bring me down."

Produced by Gable Price (founder of Gable Price and Friends), “Wild One” is the second single Hopeful. has released since their debut EP When The Turbulence Hits.
