'Homeland' Season 5 News: New Trailer Shows Quinn Returning
The new teaser for season five of Homeland is not long, but it is definitely intense.
Viewers can see Carrie Mathison, who is played by Claire Danes, get captured in what appears to be more than one situation.
At the same time, fans are excited for the return of Rupert Friend's Quinn, who is seen for just a split second in the trailer.
Of course, another anticipated character return is that of Saul Berenson, played by Mandy Patinkin.
However, with the way he is speaking to Carrie in the trailer, it does not seem that he thinks very highly of Carrie any more.
"[You] turned your back on your entire life," says Saul to Carrie in the opening sequence. "What are you doing it for? Keeping America safe? You're being naive and stupid, something you've never been before." Carrie does not look happy at all.
In addition to those series regulars, there will be a lot of new cast members in season five.
Miranda Otto will be playing Allison, Sebastian Koch will be playing Carrie's boss, Otto During, Sarah Sokolovic, will be portraying the journalist Laura Sutton and Alexander Fehling will take on the role of Jonas, Carrie's new love interest.
The official description of season five reads: "Season five will pick up two years after Carrie Mathison's ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the 'war on terror', Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm."
Homeland will be returning to the small screen on Showtime this fall.
