In 'Homeland' Season 4 Episode 2, fans saw Carrie Mathison returning to Islamabad in Pakistan - the conflict zone, as the station chief, but Peter Quinn does not accompany her. Moreover, this episode showed Quinn having a physical relationship with the manager of a motel.

Prior to the 'Homeland' Season 4 premiere, there was much speculation regarding the possibility of Carrie and Quinn becoming romantically involved. However, it has been revealed that the writers of the show are still open to the idea, and there is a possibility of the two tied in romance in the upcoming episodes of 'Homeland' Season 4.

On a side note, Episode 3 has been entitled "Salwar Kameez," and it will show Quinn confronting his genuine feelings for Carrie.

A report by TVLine says that there is a "major movement" in the storyline involving Carrie and Quinn. The report reads, "... Quinn is forced to confront his true feelings for Carrie (and the collateral damage those feelings have incurred)." Moreover, the report suggests that Carrie will make an "impromptu confession," which she will regret later.

On the other hand, E! Online reports that Quinn, will be in a brooding mood, and will be having an open and honest conversation with the motel manager. They further reveals that, in Episode 3, Quinn will express his desire to quit the CIA and that Carrie will be surprised to see a surprise visitor in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, a sneak peek of Episode 3 shows Dar Adal telling Quinn that it's not PTSD, but it his feelings for Carrie, that has everyone concerned.

 In the 'Homeland' Season 4 premiere episode, a blood-thirsty mob beat Sandy Beckham to death while Quinn and Carrie were able to escape. In the sneak peek, viewers will see Adal holding Quinn responsible for the shocking death of Beckham. He tells Quinn that if Carrie was not there in the car, Beckham would have been alive.

Adal is also seen telling Quinn, "You took your eyes off Sandy to save Carrie." This conversation is likely to force Quinn to confront his feelings for Carrie.

The official synopsis of 'Homeland' Season 4 Episode 3 says that, in "Salwar Kameez," Carrie ventures a delicate alliance with her counterpart at Pakistan's secretive Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Fara fails to recruit a key asset, forcing Carrie to intervene. Still reeling over events in Islamabad, Quinn zeroes in on a potential lead.
