'Homeland' Season 6 Cast, Premiere: Renewed Season Set In New York, Quinn Is Dead Or Alive?

Homeland Season 6 will be set in New York according to President and CEO of Showtime Networks, David Nevins.

Nevins made the statement at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour. It will be somewhat different this season since the previous ones were shot in different countries outside the US such as South Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Berlin.

"I think the actors will be happy to be back in the U.S. for a year. I don't think it's necessarily going to stay there forever, but there was a strong interest in doing a domestic story from the creative team," Nevins told Entertainment Weekly.

Showtime Programming President Gary Levine also added a few comments regarding the status of Peter Quinn (played by Rupert Friend) who's not looking good in the series' story. He said that Quinn is "severely damaged." He did not actually confirm if he is dead or alive but he said that he not going to be the same if he ever manages to survive.

"The life-or-death question remains. But if he should live, it will not be in any way, shape or form the way he has lived to date," Levine said.

What will the city of New York bring to our main characters? Will it have something to do with today's political issues and terrorist attacks? Will Quinn be able to return to his normal self? We are going to find out the answers to all our questions for "Homeland" season 6 returns this fall on Showtime.
