HoloLens News, Price, Review Roundup: Is The Device Best One For You?
News has followed HoloLens ever since it was introduced by Microsoft months back. But some people have already tried out the features and the review roundup has so far been mixed.
According to news reports, the HoloLens will have a monster of a price tag of $3,000, which is largely due to the expensive processing unit that powers the device.
The headpiece itself is comfortable enough, although the wearer will really feel the weight on the front. One good thing about the device is that it doesn't feel you nauseous, which some people have complained about the Oculus Rift, said the HoloLens review by TechRadar.
Although, the demo included no games, the article does point out the weird spatial combination between the screen display and the environment. One limitation of the HoloLens, as confirmed by the review roundup, is the limitation of the field of view which is only about 15 inches. Nevertheless, if we are going to base it on potential alone, the HoloLens is worth a buy.
Meanwhile, our review HoloLens roundup takes us to another article from T3, which pointed out the freedom brought about by the wireless device unlike the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. It did point out that all those air gestures could be very tiring. Again, this has so far potential than just a gaming tool, but rather for innovations in medical field, education and business.
For the last HoloLens review roundup, PCAdvisor said the device may be worth the price tag ... someday. Not now, however, as Microsoft is still working out the kinks.
