'Hobbit 3: Battle of the Five Armies' Movie Release Date & Spoilers: International Premieres List, U.S Launch- Dec. 17

'Hobbit 3: Battle of the Five Armies' is the third and final film in the trilogy of the epic fantasy adventure directed by Peter Jackson. The upcoming blockbuster focuses on the epic adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thoren Oakenshield and the company of dwarves as they recuperate their land from Smaug, the savagely fierce dragon.

In terms of what fans can expect to see, the five armies in the story are The Dwarves, the Elves, the Goblins, the Eagles and the Humans.

Most of the cast members from the previous two films: 'An Unexpected Journey' and 'The Desolation of Smaug' are reprising their roles. Martin Freeman will play the main character Bilbo Baggins, while Sir Ian McKellen is still set to appear as Gandalf the Grey.

Also, Orlando Bloom is going to continue his portrayal of Legolas. In addition, Richard Armitage will remain as his character, Thoren Oakenshield, the dwarf leader. Benedict Cumberbatch is taking on the role of Smaug and Necromancer.

Peter Jackson's final 'Hobbit' film will include sword slashing and action scenes that will surely satisfy the eye of the hungry moviegoers. According to the Ecumenical News, director Peter Jackson wants this third movie to be more of a psychological thriller with actions scenes scattered throughout the middle of it. He also added that he's looking to formulate a very tight narrative structure.

The official release date of the movie is December, 17 of this year for USA viewers. Additional debut dates differ, depending on the region.
