‘Hitman’ Release Date, News: New Franchise Title Split into Three Price Packs

After hearing about the recent delay in IO Interactive's upcoming 'Hitman' title, fans were happy to learn that the game has finally been slated with a release date, March 11, 2016. Beyond that, news about how much the game is going to cost, and what gamers get, has also been released by the developers.

According to the official website, 'Hitman' will be available for $34.99, however, that's only for the Intro Pack, which does not contain all of the content made for the title. While some gamers may feel that the reduced price makes sense considering there's less content, however, some want it all.

On that note, gamers can purchase The Full Experience copy at $59.99 which contains all the content made for the game in addition to a guaranteed slot in BETA access.

The official webpage blog post reads, "Today, with the INTRO PACK, we're also giving you an additional option to jump onboard with just the March content - at a lower price point, of course. The "HITMAN Intro Pack" will also be available on March 11 2016, and will be priced at $34.99 (or regional equivalent). It includes all of the launch content, plus all Live Events and Contracts for the locations released in March 2016. Nothing more, nothing less.

Then, if you want to access the rest of HITMAN, you have the option to upgrade your purchase to include all the remaining content (and at the same time get access to all subsequent live events and Contracts across all locations). This will cost you an additional $29.99 (or regional equivalent). The upgrade pack will be available for purchase once the game has launched in March."

Beyond that, in an interview with IO Interactive, a representative went into a little more detail about what gamers can expect with the title. According to GameSpot, the representative said, "For Contracts mode, you've got a combined pool of around 800 targets to craft your devious Contracts from, which means we're expecting fantastic things."

Adding, "Live content will also start being pushed out in March. This, according to the studio, includes "time-limited targets, weekly IO developed Contracts, and promoted content built by the very best of you out there."

Last but not least, players who wish to purchase a physical copy of the game will have to wait a little longer past the release date, however, that exact date has not been confirmed.
