Hillsong UNITED Win 'Worship Song of the Year' for 'Oceans'; Hint New Album in the Works at K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014 (VIDEO INTERVIEW)

Hillsong UNITED's worship leaders, Joel Houston and Taya Smith, were at the K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014, and checked in for a quick talk with BreatheCast.

The duo along with the rest of their group were up for "Worship Song of the Year," for their single "Oceans," which won. Hillsong beat out "God's Great Dance Floor" by Chris Tomlin, "I AM" by David Crowder, "Your Grace Finds Me" by Matt Redman, "You Won't Let Go" by Michael W. Smith, and "Never Once" by One Sonic Society.

Houston said of their nomination, "It feels awesome, we've never really been nominated for anything before so this is cool."

"It's a lot of fun, a lot of fun," Smith chimed in.

"Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Christian Singles chart, a first for Hillsong UNITED. It has spent 26 weeks on the top, and is from last year's ZION.

"We are just church kids from Australia who love the church and believe in the church," said Houston at the award's show. "And as songwriters we like to set sail and believe God to breathe on a song, and God breathed on 'Oceans' more than we could ever have asked or imagined."

Later in the evening UNITED would go on to close out the event performing their song to the sold out crowd of fans and performers.

BreatheCast asked the pair what UNITED had in the works, and despite all of their current album's success, they are working on yet another.

"We actually just started working on a new project, a new album. We are just writing , kind of setting sail hoping God breathes on it again you know. We've been working hard, had an amazing year and this is pretty cool to top it off with this," Houston said.

Smith was just grateful for the whole experience and was excited to just to be there and take it all in. She said she was looking forward to seeing "I think everyone. Literally everyone. I mean the Red Carpet is pretty cool. I've never walked on one."
