Last week the new album became available for pre-order at iTunes, which included "Touch the Sky" as an instant download. The album rapidly moved up to No. 5 on the iTunes overall chart. The debut single can also be streamed on Spotify here as well as the lyric video below.

Lead members of the group, Joel Houston and Taya Smith, chatted about what the song was about. There, they revealed the track's meaning was rooted in the Beatitudes.

He said people are always looking to be a better person in the eyes of God to try and reach Him. "God says, 'No, it doesn't matter who you are' because of that we don't have to try an elevate ourselves to find God. We find ourselves through a position of surrender," said Joel.

He continued, "We surrender not because we've lost, we surrender because He has already won everything for us. That's where the kingdom of heaven begins."
