Lady Antebellum News: Hillary Scott Says Band is Taking a Break
First it was One Direction that announced that they are taking a brief hiatus from their band, and now the most recent band to announce a break, is Lady Antebellum as E! News recently got a hold of band singer Hillary Scott who was busy preparing the campaign for Chili's and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on the 'Create-a-Pepper' campaign for the benefit of Child Cancer Awareness month.
It was quite surprising when Scott announced that they are taking a break from the band and just focusing on writing and making more music after the group's phenomenal year, selling 11 million albums worldwide. Also, with their latest 747 album, the band was given "Vocal Group of the Year" honors from both the CMA and ACM Awards three years in a row and not to mention their successful Wheels Up Tour.
So Scott together with bandmates Hunter Haynes and Sam Hunt have decided to stop for a while and get back to their own homes and families to reflect and hopefully make more amazing music.
"Everything's obviously always in forward motion, but since our first album we've not really given ourselves the gift of time, to just get in the room and write together until we feel like we have everything," Scott told E! News.
The break seemed to be a good idea after the busy and hectic career schedule that the band has had. "We've just made so many albums in such a short period of time, and we're proud of them, and what we've done in our career, and what we've said with them-but we've never given ourselves the gift of time. So, that's what this next season is for us, spending time with our families, and really relishing in this successful year for us, and focusing on where we're headed next," she continued to explain.
And just to assure the fans even more that the break is just a brief one, Scott added "Knowing us, it will probably be a lot shorter than what we probably set out for it to be, because we can't ever really stop," she said. "But yeah, there's no timeline, and that feels so nice to know. When we feel like it's ready we'll go to work."
