Hershey's Kisses Inspire New Yorkers to Share Acts of Kindness With 'Show You Care' Campaign; Parachutes With Messages Drop in Central Park [SEE HERE]
YESTERDAY, Tuesday, October 6, Rainn Wilson's SoulPancake (the creative minds behind Kid President and Kitten Therapy) partnered with Hershey's Kisses chocolate to surprise New York residents by floating #ShowYouCare parachutes over Central Park.
Inspired by the #ShowYouCare campaign video "Strangers Surprised by an Unusual Reminder to Care", New Yorkers and visitors were inspired to share acts of kindness and stories of how they #ShowTheyCare
Here are the facts:
- 100 parachutes dropped this afternoon in Central Park
- Over 50 people participated of all ages including children, parents and grandparents!
- Random acts of kindness included: high-fives, hugs and inspirational stories.
- Video stories include a woman living #ShowYouCare by raising money for suicide prevention, and a man who gave a generous donation to a talented street performer.
- People got very involved floating the parachutes onto unsuspecting strangers, spreading the #ShowYouCare message even further!
