'Heroes Reborn' Release Date: New Teaser ‘The Extraordinary Among Us’ Shows Aftermath of Texas Terror Attack [VIDEO]

Although 'Heroes Reborn,' the upcoming 13-episode NBC mini series, will premiere on Sept. 24, fans are already excited over recently released the official trailer of the show.

The new video clip titled 'The Extraordinary Among Us' offers the viewers glimpses of what happens after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, as featured on the original series. Quoting the network, Christian Today reports that the show will focus on the characters with amazing abilities, but were compelled to go into hiding when they were blamed for the attack.

Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), also referred to as H.R.G., will continue to be in hiding, while he is hunted down by Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski). The conspiracy theorist is determined to make Bennet realize what actually happened behind the Odessa tragedy. In the meantime, Luke Collins (Zachary Levi) will find out he possesses superpowers as he is on a mission to avenge someone he lost.

Other cast members include awkward teen Tommy (Robbie Kay), who worships Emily (Gatlin Green) till he comes to know about his new startling ability that renders his own will powerless, and Miko (Kiki Sukezane), who is concealing an unusual secret that can risk her life. In addition, an erstwhile soldier named Carlos (Ryan Guzman) is also seen discovering his exceptional skills.

Apart from those mentioned above, a number of heroes of the past like Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), and Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose) will also provide their powers to the eventual mission of saving the world as well as mankind.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Levi revealed how 'Heroes Reborn' compared to the original science-fiction series.

According to Levi, "I remember that second season of 'Heroes,' I'd never seen, nor have I ever seen since, a television worldwide press tour like that where they split a cast up all through Europe and Asia, and another group was like North and South America. They went everywhere. It was like a Marvel movie, almost. It's really difficult to kind of maintain that same hype and power and success of a show, you start sometimes losing a bit of groundedness, but with 13 episodes in this miniseries, I think that's kind of certainly what we're trying to get back to."

'Heroes Reborn' will premiere on NBC on Sept. 24.
