‘Heroes Reborn’ Premiere News: Executive Producer Reveals New Character Details
When 'Heroes Reborn' premieres in a few weeks from now, fans will get to see their favorite original characters including Hiro Nakamura (Maski Oka), Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), and Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose) and several others. The 13-episode 'mini event' will deal with a new group of EVOs - who are actually people with exceptional will powers, compared to the original NBC science fiction serial drama series.
Screenrant reports that show executive producer Tim Kring revealed at the recently concluded Comic-Con International the new characters that viewers will be meeting in the series reboot. These characters include Carlos (Ryan Guzman), Malina (Danika Yarosh), Tommy (Robbie Kay), Emily (Gatlin Green), Joanne (Judith Shekoni), Luke (Zachary Levi), and also an unidentified character to be portrayed by Dylan Bruce.
In the upcoming show, Carlos has been described as an Army veteran who is dealing with several mental issues. Despite the fact that he has an unsound personal and professional life, Carlos has been given an opportunity to change his life. Now it remains to be seen if he will seize the opportunity to utilize his powers to make a difference.
Meanwhile, Malina is a young girl living in the Arctic. She also possesses a mysterious power. Malina has been living in isolation from other people in order to train without anyone knowing that she possesses special abilities.
On the other hand, another character, Tommy, is a teenager possessing the ability to make people disappear. Although he keeps his powers a secret from all, it appears that this time the government wants the EVOs to be registered. Tommy, however, is not alone as he has Emily, a non-EVO on whom Tommy has a crush. Emily knows the secret, but keeps it to her and goes on the run with him on several episodes.
Luke is the main antagonist in this season. He is a person who hunts down the EVOs. His wife Joanne works with him and the couple has a very good reason for what they are about to do.
She explained, "They are a vigilante couple out to seek some revenge for something that happened to one of their loved ones," she adding, "They lost their son ... She's seeking retribution."
Meanwhile, Kring did not reveal Bruce's character at the convention. However, but the actor himself said that his character is a "survivalist" and may fall back on doing cruel and immoral things for his personal benefit.
'Heroes Reborn' premieres on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.
