'Heroes Reborn' New Cast News: Greg Grunberg to Return to Series as Matt Parkman
The limited series 'Heroes Reborn' has recently added a returning actor to their cast to help revive the classic NBC show. Greg Grunberg is set to return as the telepathic detective Matt Parkman. He's revealed to have a guest star arc on the new series.
Grunberg evidently isn't be the only actor set to reprise his role, as he will be joined by Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura and Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet.
The actor has seemed to always have an interest in coming back to the series. In an interview with EW, Grunberg states:
"Well, you know, it'd be great to use that cop character as an investigative tool to find new people with power. I'm excited as a fan, to see what happens. If I can be a part of this, I would jump at the chance...None of us have been notified. We have no idea what's going on. They hinted that they might use some of the old characters to move story and plot. I think the fans or whoever was watching the show before, which was the world, really wants closure. I don't know how they would do this without using some of the main characters. I hope that they include me."
'Heroes Reborn' will reportedly follow "seemingly ordinary group of people who gradually become aware that they have special abilities." According to the plot description, the story develops "showing their reactions to these powers, and how this discovery affects their personal and professional lives."
As it stands, 'Heroes: Reborn' does not yet have a release date.
