‘Hell's Kitchen’ Season 12 Winner Recap: Scott Commings Beats Jason Zepaltas [FINAL EPISODE FULL]

Chef Gordon Ramsay has recently announced the winner of 'Hell's Kitchen' Season 12. It was a tough competition between Scott Commings and Jason Zepaltas, but the former emerged as the newest head chef at the Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas.

36-year-old Commings said, "Hell's Kitchen was truly the best and most rewarding experience of my life. I feel so blessed to have been given this incredible and most difficult opportunity. What I have been able to take from this experience will be with me the rest of my life, and I will use every bit of this education to continue to pursue my passion for food. I am truly thankful."

Commings, an executive chef from Woodstock, Illinois, impressed Ramsay with his Romaine salad in nicoise olive tapenade and duck confit ravioli with braised pork belly for appetizers; and Mediterranean sea bass with piquillo pepper puree, potato hash, haricot vert, black kale and lemon, and his Grilled beef tenderloin with celriac remoulade, frites and tamarind sweet 'n' sour sauce for the main entrees.

For dessert, he prepared pear tart tatin with spiced pear sorbet, vanilla gelato and marcona crumble as well as chocolate hazelnut cake with coffee buttercream, salted caramel and almond gelato.

Ramsay commented that Commings is not only an exceptional chef, but was also a determined leader throughout the whole season, "He showed incredible determination and became a stronger chef even as the competition became fiercer; proving that he has what it takes to make a mark on the culinary world."

Commings won $250,000 aside from his full time professional stint at the restaurant owned by Ramsay.
